I have loved Robin of Sherwood and Clannad for forty years, so this was an absolutely amazing evening. It wasn’t my first visit to the Royal Albert Hall, but it was the first time I managed to acquire a badge.
This is a chateau set in the most amazing formal gardens, including the most beautiful vegetable gardens and a maze. We wandered around the gardens very happily here.
I’ve always thought of triple sec as just the orange stuff you put in cocktails, but this distillery produces a really delicious one along with an array of syrups and liqueurs in more flavours than I knew existed.
After a fascinating visit to Fontevraud Abbey we wanted a little lunch. This place provided, with real vinyl as the background music (and a fascinating selection of that).
One of my birthday presents was membership of this society, which included a lovely handwritten letter from the organiser. Now just to find the time to get my pen and paper out.
It’s not uncommon for people to buy me presents from Cropredy festival. This one though is pretty special, coming from the Roger Dean stall (Yes, he of the amazing artwork, pun intended). And I do absolutely love dragons.
